Don't do that, Jacquie. Don't y'all have a tech/computer service that can straighten out the problem? My computer has been acting up for many, many months and I am just about ready to ditch it and get a new one. Heck, my computer is over five years old so I guess a change is overdue.
A temporary "fix" for you might be to ever so often copy what you type, doing so before you lose it, and then paste what you copied to the remainder of what you wanted to post. The copy portion should never go away until you copy something else.
