I don't really know. I have always had Dell, going back over 20 years. I presently have the Vostro 230 and it has an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, 4.0 GB RAM, and 456 GB OS. Now, just a plain-Jane computer has twice the speed and storage. When I had my dental practice, I had six computers in the office and one at home. Now we have two computers at home. When my wife replaced her Dell 1 1/2 years ago, she got one that was built by a local computer company. It is also Windows 7, since (I think) that was the latest thing out. She has been pleased with her computer. I lost my XP when Microsoft discontinued support.
