Rolling on the floor laughing Mayo! Mine better form scapes! I think your plant got confused this winter. I wonder if mine are going to be very much early. My records show my earliest bloom on May 13. I haven't timed how long it takes an emerging scape to grow a blooming bud, but seems like that would probably be around 3-5 weeks. I guess I could mark the two I've found and see how long. There was lots of warm weather in February, but March has been cooler. Still the fan growth has managed the late frosts without much/any damage, so the plants' growth is ahead of where they were at this time in the previous couple of years. Tomorrow is April, so 3-5 weeks before a scape has an open bloom doesn't put some things a lot earlier. I rather think all that extra time for growth on the fans will more likely result in more roots, more increase, and possibly more rebloom instead of starting bloom early. Just guessing. And that guess also depends on no disasters and being able to keep up with giving them supplemental water etc.
