Well, we had a vigorous bell practice. The piece my ensemble will play at a massed concert on May 1 is Haleluya. We worked on it for awhile and at the end of rehearsal played it through once at tempo - quarter = 140. It was performance ready yet, but it will be by May 1. Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! http://listeninglab.stantons.c...

And then, since I had the bell director who will direct the massed pieces at that concert subbing for someone in my group, I let her direct while I got to play bells. Since we have all of 15 minutes rehearsal time for each piece on concert day, it's very advantageous to my group to seen how SHE wants to direct it. Rolling my eyes. Rolling my eyes.

All in all, we got through all 4 pieces that we play either in April or at that concert. And I'm ready for a nap. But I think I'll go watch figure skating. We have another walk tomorrow. 4.7 km
