Melanie, sorry to hear about your diabetes, please be good and do as the doctor tells you to do. Diabetes runs in my family, when daughter was diagnosed in her 30s she followed the diet for a short while then chose to ignore it, after a few years she found herself in the hospital, she was very ill, since then she has been insulin dependent, can't go anywhere without her insulin pen and test kit.
