Signet, I am so sorry to hear of your plants heaving out of the ground. I can understand your frustration. I don't have that problem, we have a heavy snow cover so they are all well covered all winter. We get January thaws, but the ground is not exposed.

It is snowing today and my gardens are now totally snow covered again. About an inch on the ground, so far.
