I would think Lilies would do well up there...if you could protect them from the gophers, and other varmints. This one was a potted Mother's day plant that I got at the grocery store about 4 years ago. When It was finished blooming, I Dumped the pot, and stuck the whole works in the ground, at the same level. It is always the first to appear and bloom for me, and smells heavenly when I walk by...or the breeze is from the east.
