Just reread my post and thought *DUH*, Autumn Sage IS a salvia.
I think I must have been out in the sun too long today....or I stopped to think and forgot to start again.
And yes, Karen, the white-tails are a problem! Jerry Parsons calls them the "truly destructive garden beast-of-eat".
