I wonder if you are too warm. My roses die over the winter. So I only have a few roses that are not Knockout, drift, fairy etc. Because I do not have time to put the work into covering them for he winter,
I saw one in my neighborhood that was 5' tall and 4' wide. I saw the gardener in the yard and asked her what it was and was surprised when she said it was a Sunny Knockout. When I see her again I am going to ask her how long she has had the plant and if she is feeding it something special. She has it planted in the middle of her yard on the side with only grass is in the rest of that area. I did not think it was possible for them to grow that tall. It is the perfect flowering bush for that area.
