As Linda said, they do fight...especially the males, but when you have hungry Mamas with chicks to feed or lots of juveniles, all bets are off. That male who guards the feeder is so outnumbered. Dawn and dusk are prime time for feeders, and I sometimes see several in the fountain/bath in the mornings too.
