I'm thinking that this curving ( although not the normal type of fasciation) could also be called a fasciated scape. Usually the scapes become deformed when developing from the meristem and they have a flattened thick look. You can see pictures of fasciated scapes by clicking on this link in the daylily dictionary.

However, I may be wrong! I too have had scapes bend if the name plate gets in their way.
