Doris, I have never seen seed pods on my tropical hibiscus. Maybe cause I cut the flowers off once they wilt. The only way I know about propogating the tropical hibiscus is by cuttings. Right now my plant is very small and does not have enough stems to cut. I'll keep you in mind when it needs a trim. Smiling
