Would you be able to show us a picture of your plant? That would help us understand your question a little better. Do you have cuttings or a larger plant?

Terri is correct, if you have clay, sounds like you'll need to add some amendments to it. Or are there pockets in the rocky slope that you intend to plant in?

Looking forward to seeing some pictures.
