Sara, we need to know where on the Earth you and your plant are. Your particular climate narrows down the possibilities of what plant you might have. My first guess was chrysanthemum, but they wouldn't be putting out buds right now. As Janet says, once a flower opens, we'll have a much easier time figuring out what it is.
