I think it can thrive in part sun to part shade. Typically once temps starts hitting high 90's to triple digits succulents just hold on and wait till temps go back to the more tolerable 80's. Morning full sun is best and part shade in the afternoons. At times, I notice some succulents that are good to the 32F range during the cold season means by summer it may partially go dormant as it tries to cope with summer heat. And reading Sondra's earlier post this May she did notice it was thriving in winter, but was dropping leaves recently. That is what my more cold loving succulents do too, dropping their old winter leaves as spring starts to shift to summer, and may try to grow some summer leaves but at times, just keeping some as it tries to adjust with the temperature change.

So be careful in watering, it may be going into semi dormant mode if your temps there are going too hot already.
