I appreciate the seed offer - I have had the regular mimosa trees at different places over the years. I don't have one here thank goodness! I love them but they are messy!
I have a chocolate one in my yard now, I was going to offer to either send a cutting or try to start one for Desertdenial if someone knew if it could be done. The chocolate doesn't or at least hasn't been a problem; no seedlings. It does look awful, the original trunk was eaten by a huge doberman pinscher. It doesn't perform well but I love it anyway. In another year or two, it will be trained to be sort of a bush.
