No, the emergence of air roots is NOT a reason to repot. The air roots often emerge when there is an abundance of humidity for this plant, which comes from arid regions. The "magic" in your vase is that it is has not had its roots disturbed all these years and you have managed to provide proper light and the right watering routine. If you repot, all of that magic will disappear.

If a plant is healthy, don't do anything radical such as repotting. If it is getting too tall, then pruning is the answer.
