Okay, my tribe of hummers have increased quite a bit. The other day I was watching through the window when a bunch of hummers flew up, then more came up also! They were competing for the ports on the most popular feeder, with four feeding, then another four. And a few more on the other feeder. Hurray!
They didn't seem to be at odds, none chased the others, they were cooperating (I think)! My camera needs some repair, but I tried to get photos. Their cooperative spirits didn't extend to my efforts, that was obvious. I love it when the pic doesn't seem to show any wing movement, as if the hummer is suspended in the air like the 2nd one.

I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. E. B.White
Integrity can never be taken. It can only be given, and I wasn't going to give it up to these people. Gary Mowad
