I struggled for years trying to get 4 o'clock seeds to sprout, until I got some from a swap that grew just fine; I don't know what the heck the commercial seed companies are selling, but I don't think it's very fresh seed!

I read online if I put the D. Earth on the dirt that when the leafminers emerge it will dry them out, same with grubs.
As far as the Four O Clocks I got seeds of different colors from my sister in law, they were picked off her plants.
Guess time will tell!
