50% of the time I have a plan and the rest of the time I just get it and then figure out where there is room.I have so many lilies ordered for April I am envisioning my entire garden looking like the banner on this thread.
I just know it will all work out,it usually does.
I am glad I made a plan last winter.Grids of the garden areas ,so I can see if there is a plant where I want to put something.
I also bought a Perennial spade which is long and narrow ,it should help in tight spots.
I have a Tree Peony garden where I planted 10 NOID DL's any short lilies can go in there. It will be a color surprise I am sure.
Short Lilies, because its close to 2 Fir trees and I am not sure about leaning so the whole space cant be used as tall plant territory.Just the front.
I use white spoons to mark where plants are.I label them with waxpen so I can remember whats there.
When the plants fill out the spoons dissapear.
Its a real help to look at the winter garden when I am placing orders.I dont over spend this way.
This is the TreePeont area with DL's marked, not ID'd
