Hi Glad to be here.I am buying lilies like they are going out of style.
I mostly like Asiatics right now because they fit so nicely in the DL garden.
I also have some Longiflorums but not many.
This is an area where I am adding other plants to the lilies I planted 2 years ago and last fall.

If anyone joins this cubit, please post in the introduce yourself area. When we first started we weren't really sure what we were doing, so I think I'm going to make the welcome to lilies a 'sticky' and give some instructions in there.

Hi guess I am a newbie. I love all lilies, have Asiatics, orientals ( oh the smell ..so good), tigers, Longiforms , Orient-pets ........is that right ? If you are into lilies you will know what I mean.

Cherie, did you buy those advertised as tree lilies? They are lovely. I remember when the catalogues started selling tree lilies. I think most of them are OT, are they not?

Last one I promise The fragrance on these on summer evening were great! Anyone walking down the sidewalk in the early evening always commented on the fragrance.

I have more [ics of Asiatics, orientals, trumpets; will save them for another time. I'm ordering more this year of Asiatics and LA Hybrids.

On order are Asiatics Blackout, Endless love and LA Hybirds Marquee and Rodela,

I'm ordering OTs mainly. Some of all the categories, except species, so far. OTs just seem to so well here.

Yes indeed the so advertised "lily trees" marketed by Breck's bulbs are OT lilums (cross hybrid between trumpet and oriental). They for the most part are very strong stemmed lilies, many reaching heights, when mature, of 6 feet or more.

Please do not lean your bike against them, like Brecks shows in one of their pictures. You may lose your "trees" that way.

They are beautiful hardy lilies, but "trees", they are not.
