Another use for old cell phones (with cameras) is to use them as security cameras in your home. An app for androids is Salient Eye and one for Apple is Manything. I am sure there are others out there also. Obviously you have to keep the phone plugged in but in addition to security, it is fun to watch your animals when you are away from home.
