Hi Nanette, and welcome to the forum!
I love many of the things you're growing:
Alyssum, poppies, forget me not, convolvulus, marigold, pansy, viola, zinnia & snapdragons, and
spinach, swiss chard, tomatoes, peppers & peas. For me, I planted alyssum once and it came back on its own for years, even choking out weeds.
If you like spinach, chard and kale, you might like tatsoi or komatsuna or Bok Choy, or the very mild and productive "Holland Greens", a.k.a. 'Tyfon'. Those are cool-weather crops, hence early spring and late fall crops for you. Tatsoi and Tyfon might be winter crops for you, or at least over-winter and start up early in spring. One nice thing is that these greens can be eaten very young if hot weather is coming - they are more tender and sweet that way, anyway.
BTW, "yard-long beans" love heat.
P.S. DogsNDaylilies is organizing another seed swap, to start trading in, ummm:
Swap Start Date: Saturday, September 3

This is for "all seeds". Last time, there was a wide variety of vegetables and flowers. And this swap will be International, so who knows who will join?
