I've googled photos on all the suggestions and I'm not good enough to really tell. I went back and took a couple of photos trying to show leaves, stems and plant structure. Hope they work.
Those long green leaves showing are not part of the plant. They are leaf blades from some type of grass. I didn't see any leaf growth longer than 2-3" for mature leaves on the plant.
