Hi Char , yes it was me that had chicks hatch. They are bantam cochins .....I love their little feathery legs , their temperament , and the fact that they are wonderful mothers.....very broody. I believe one is a cross of the bantam cochin Roo and an ISA red hen ( she was a rescue) . Time will tell if he/she is that particular cross when its adult feathers come in and it is a rusty red rather large cochin LOL !. Right now it is just a yellow fluffy chick .....double the size of the bantam chicks but it has feathers on its legs like the cochins ......and the bantams are all varying shades of grey. Should be interesting to see how it develops as time goes on.

Today I have blooms open on the Daylilies: Sir Black Stem , Lemon Lily, Dumorteri, Bitsy, Bonanza, Curly Rosy Posy ,Miss Victoria and Paper Butterfly . Almost all yellows with the exception of Paper Butterfly and Curly Rosy Posyand with the exception of Lemon Lily, only a month early !!!!!!!!! Many more plants are sending up multiple scapes .....wow ......really is way too early. Will also be interesting to see if I get lots of rebloom this year .
