I still have a lot of short ones too - but its still June. I used to never get blooms at all until mid July and that was the small ones. When I look at my notes from last year, even the BB's didn't start opening until mid July. My first AA bloom was July 22nd.

I started my tubers a bit earlier, and then planted them about a week earlier than normal, and we have also had an enormous amount of rain and a warmer June than normal.

The rain has also brought the insects out in swarms. I have more bug damage than I remember having. You gatt a take the bad with the good. Shrug!
