In these warm days, flowers are popping before I know it! I'd swear buds had yet another day to open, and I'd come home from work and they've already blossomed. A bummer when you want to make clean crosses. Sigh. Well at least I still can use their pollen...

Here is a "runt" from Pard's cross of "2 white with some green reverse, seed parent heavy substance." It took three years to bloom, but I am sure it was partly due to competition from others planted too close. I must say this particular cross, of the four I received from Connie, has consistently produced the best foliage by far. Deeper green, and a heavier substance there too.
