I'm certainly impressed by Love Song. Now I'm shocked. For the SECOND time this year, as a first-year plant, it has got 5 blooms open at once:
And here is another tiny first-year. The two fans were so small when I received it that I would have been upset with the seller, except this was a gift plant so I really can't complain too much. This thing right now is just 5" tall and yet here it is popping up a scape!
So much for a fan having to be mature before it puts up a scape!
I'm astonished that with very few exceptions every first-year plant, both this year and last year, no matter how big or small the fans are, has bloomed. I guess daylilies are REALLY inclined to bloom!
