I would guess most people don't experience as much loss as I do. If your winters are really cold, everything goes dormant. If they are warm, everything acts as an evergreen. We used to have really cold winters but now the weather seems to be changing. Seem to be getting longer, warmer spells followed by shorter spells of frigid temps. Anything not in the ground AND not established is apt to suffer. I mourn some but the truth is I'm a wimp when it comes to culling plants so Mother Nature does it for me. Sticking tongue out And it does free up space for seedlings!
