This was a gift plant from Bob Selman a few years ago. When it bloomed, which it did a couple of months after planting, my husband and I were going "Well, hmmmm". We had nothing like it in our garden. It took awhile for me to warm up to it, but my husband was quicker to accept the unusual color. In the morning, it has a definite gray cast to the color. This changes by the evening to more purple. It is a rapid increaser and it does bloom reliably and is just now finishing for us. I think it could be really hard to like it using just photographs. To me, it is quite different seeing a picture and then seeing the real thing. We always plan to have it here, for it is a good daylily, does its job with no muss, no fuss.
