I'm not a succulent expert (although I do grow a few), so I hope someone more knowledgeable will jump in here; but to me that sounds like an overwatering problem. Or, could it possibly have been chilled? Is it potted in a soil mix for succulents? Since the plant appears to be relatively small, maybe you can kind of lift it out of the pot to see what's going on "down below," to see how the roots look and if the soil is soggy, or what.
