Technically, all of Florida is considered the southeast, but the southern portion of it is just so different climatically.

It would be great to have members from other countries that share a similar climate.
Having threads focused on a particular state or sub-region sounds like a great idea to try. It might evolve into members organizing some fun local events like plant swaps or other garden meet-ups.
