I have wondered too if it is something in the soil. Red Hot has never done that for me, but my parents home is in an area with particularly rich soil. Some of the best soil in the world,we have been told, due to the glaciers. Red Hot never had a "normal" year there. In the end, it had a virus and had to be tossed. But 5 years and always fasciated.
