I drain my rain barrels and store them for the winter. I then just put a 5 gallon bucket out to catch water over winter (I don't need as much since it's not hot). a smallish watering can is filled from that and I let it sit overnight indoors to warm to room temp before watering.
It seems the same thing could be done the rest of the year if you live where it rains enough.
Is this your first Nepenthe? I get to engrossed in the pitchers and the beauty of them plant I usually forget it's a carnivore. Depending on the species they are very easy to grow; the "exotic" ones can be temperamental, but like any plant if we select what does well in our environment they reward our efforts!
