Ginger Twist (edited to add: this was it's first ever bloom in my garden! )
Jocelyn's Oddity looks like a little white pixie that's excited it's hometown pixie football team just scored a touchdown.

Black Plush (shown redder than it really is...it's pretty black)

"A Chorus Line" -- FFE!
....except that I think the name is supposed to be just "Chorus Line"....and I'm not sure this is it because none of the DB pictures show Chorus Line poly'ing so much that it appears to be a double. I think I got something else! Anyone think they can ID this? (I tried looking for "Golden Dragon Daylilies"'s website online to see if I could figure out what cultivar she carries that this could be, but she doesn't appear to have a website as far as I can tell. I tried!) Anyway, I think I like this even better than Chorus Line, so I'm not complaining.
Olallie Red (I was getting a little pinked out from those last two pictures
)
Cave Lion -FFE!
This is also my first toothy variety to EVER bloom! (I'm not even sure I have any other toothy varieties in my garden....although I have a tiny seedling from a seed I got on the LA that is barely surviving and might become a toothy someday.)
'Mystery White' (A NOID daylily growing where it wasn't supposed to at Across the Fence Daylilies last summer, so I requested it as my bonus plant! Love it!)
This picture is interesting for a few reasons. First, it's a beautiful near-white
...with a visitor (bug)...but also notice the gracefully-curved pistil.....and it's a two-part pistil if you're really looking at it. (I suspect it won't 'take', but I pollinated it anyway.) ...and now for what I thought was really unique: A petal that is hugging it's buds.
Here it is:
NOID - FFE!
...although it's not what it's supposed to be! This was from Oakes Daylilies last year and I've been eagerly anticipating this one because I have it planted right near the walkway leading up to our house, since "Ciao" means both 'hello' and 'goodbye', I thought it was appropriate. I did think the bud was awfully light-colored the last several days as the bud was getting bigger, but I shrugged it off. now I know why...it's an imposter! LoL! So now I have a Chorus Line that doesn't appear to be Chorus Line and a Ciao that definitely isn't a Ciao! My first AND second mistaken-sends both bloom on the same day--how strange is that? I like the double flower and can use its genetics, but I might see if I can work something out with Oakes so that I can really get Ciao. IF they no longer have it, does anyone know where else I can get Ciao?...
Sound and Fury
The color on this daylily is incredible! It's definitely a standout.
Heavenly Angel Ice - FFO!
...it looks like she's hanging on for dear life in this picture...love how the petal curls itself around the scape.
Olallie Keith Stone's Sunset's last two buds of the season.
Look at all of those seed pods forming, though! This cultivar was my most fertile (both as pod parent
and pollen parent!) daylily last year and it looks like it is holding the trend. I actually had to back off pollinating it because I was afraid that none of the pods would be able to grow since there are so many. So far, this looks as though it may be my most fertile daylily again this year...
Saint Elmo's Fire - big and beautiful!
Broadway Phantom - this is one of two plants I got from
@kidfishing last year and it has been blooming its little head off! I'll have to go out one of these days and count how many buds this little sucker is actually putting out, because it's a lot. Here are two of them:
(By the way, notice the pollen? It always has the flourescent look...and I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that it is pollen infertile. You can tell just by looking at the pollen, though, that something isn't right with it.)
