Amber (and any members wondering) .....

If you own the plant regardless of how long, all reports are relevant. What we like to read in the evaluations is info about stats such as transplanting (if new, how it did), length it takes to establish (some establish right away, others can take years), photos of blooms, scapes, entire plant (clump shots are awesome!), scape height, bloom size, number of branches, whether or not it is rust resistant (if you know), how the blooms open, how many blooms per scape, does it multiply fast or slow, etc. As well as your personal opinion of the cultivar. You can read some of the Daylily of Day threads to get an idea about what to write. Measurements are important whether they meet the breeder's stats or not.

Any information you share is used to help other gardeners determine whether or not the cultivar is a plant they should consider for their zone and climate. So mention your zone and climate as well. Everyone loves to read reviews with lots of info!

AND .... you can add an additional evaluation of the plant every year! (And earn an acorn once a year.)

And negative evaluations are good too. If your plant failed to thrive, or it died. If you didn't like the cultivar, tell us why.

Think about what YOU would like to read about a cultivar that you are considering adding to your garden. And then write about that!

But I only give acorns for actual evaluations. If you just got the plant and don't really know anything about it yet, then wait until it's been with you long enough to write an evaluation. You can post an evaluation at ANY TIME and earn an acorn. Evaluation do not have to be added when the plant is spotlighted. Evaluations can be added at any time! But additional (acorn earning) evaluations do have to be about a year apart. So annual evaluations are wonderful! And this is a great way to help others as well as earn an acorn for yourself for each evaluation. Thumbs up Thumbs up Thumbs up
What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters, compared to what lies within us.
