It is fun to watch these "pitchers" grow. They start out as really tiny things, no larger than 1 mm in diameter and then grow and grow until they are 4-6" long. When they are at or near their peak size, the "lid" opens up, ready to welcome insects. They are just really neat plants to grow. I understand these plants do flower but that may only occur with old, large plants. My first pitcher is only 1.5 yrs. old and it was a cutting, so is perhaps 2-3 times as old as that. No flowers though.
