Last one...promise...for a few days anyway. This was NOT Brookgreen Gardens. This was in a open field behind where I live in Myrtle Beach, SC. It was the only one growing along with all the tall grass. It was maybe 10 to 12 inches in height. Sorry for not having photos of the leaves or stem...I know better now. From doing my own search is how I found the name Mexican Sunflower...but like my mother, I've been known to be wrong too!!
