In the movie " My Big Fat Greek Wedding" her dad sprayed Windex on everything. I have always used hydrogen peroxide on every skin problem or cut. It never really burns, if it does you know you have a problem. My kids laugh at me cause I am like the dad with hydrogen peroxide. It works well for people. It took reading over and over again Becky's uses of hydrogen peroxide why would I not try that on plants? But yet I didn't. Then plant emergency. Rot kills quickly, so there is nothing to lose only save. Hydrogen peroxide cleared alot of problems up for me. I have a daylily I am still treating. I am not anti-bleach. Bleach is the go to for fire ant bites. But my reasoning is take a 50/50 bleach water solution pour it on a plant, you would get severe plant damage. If you took 50/50 hydrogen peroxide water solution to the same type of plant nothing would happen to it, might even thrive. The last time I shipped some iris instead of the 10% bleach soak I used hydrogen peroxide in the water. After I had read pollution throws off the balance of oxygen and carbon dioxide in our rain for plant root, I think it is especially good to use on plants.
