This is by far the hardest-working plant on my property. Stick a piece anywhere & boom! Instant blooms. Ornamental purslane (Portulaca umbraticola.) Most of my other plants aren't there for their blooms, I'm all about wild foliage.

I went to stores twice to find other colors &/or some moss roses but only found some mostly dead clearance plants. Bad timing. Packs of seeds scattered at several diff times in diff locations have produced nothing.

Let's see what folks have done with purslanes/Portulacas this summer!
