@KathyWaldron and welcome to garden.org. I am a Master Gardener here in Florida and run a school garden at my local Elementary school. Our County Extension service has grants for school gardens available here. You might want to check if your local Extension service or Master Gardeners have such a program.
At the very least, the local Master Gardeners will surely volunteer to come and help you teach the kids.
