I originally got a little snippet of it from my mother in law who had it growing as a ground cover on the bank of the canal behind her house. I grew it in a hanging basket and it ended up on the ground and spreading throughout areas in my backyard. It sure is pretty when in bloom but it's listed as a Category II non-native invasive plant here in Florida.
