I'm really loving it's hue though. I think it lived up to the breeders description. I live in Washington though, zone 8, with very clay soil and all my purples seem to have nice coloring. I wonder if they wouldn't look as nice in warmer regions.

Octarine has struggled a bit in my climate. I am still hoping it will eventually grow better and scapes will be taller. Scapes for the past 2 years have only been about 14".
