Tin, it's wonderful that you are successful in growing tropical fruits in containers in New Jersey. I see that you also have a banana plant in a container. Considering your zone, do you have a greenhouse to keep your tropical plants during the winter months?

No, I don't have a greenhouse. I just bring them inside the house. We rarely use our living room, so most of the plants get to stay in that room.
I do have 2 banana plants. I took them out early this spring and it was still cold. Thought both died but they came back up. Banana is so easy to care for. I don't even water them during the winter months.
I also have 3 lime trees. One never fruit. 2 were badly infected with scales. Almost lost all of their leaves and the branches became dried and brown. I wiped all the scales off and spray neem oil on them. Now, they are striving again.
