Acer updater has known compatibility issues with Windows7 and InternetExplorer. It is just a terrible situation that may continue to develop and eventually get worse as new versions of things are put out for update, but you will be unable to properly upgrade/update, so over time your issues will just compound, because your systems will get further and further incompatible. Sad

It was a known error when Windows7 was pushed out, and Acer really did nothing about it, just waiting on Microsoft to make a fix, and Microsoft was waiting on Acer to make a fix, so it seemingly never got done for those older models. The new Acer models don't seem to have those issues, but at this point....I'm not sure I would be able to suggest anything that would be of any help. Crying
