Hello all,

This has been a challenging gardening season with hail, heat, rabbits and more. Thankfully (and I rarely say this) the season is almost over.

One thing that is troubling me right now is the state of my Joe Pye Weed. I bought a beautiful specimen, full and lush and now it looks like this. I don't know what is causing it. I thought this plant would be a perfect low maintenance specimen. Sad

Just to give history, when I planted this, I guess I did not water it in well enough so it drooped (twice) and now I water it consistently (striking a balance so not to over water). Would this have happened when it was stressed due to not enough water? I know that was the cause of the drooping because after I gave it a good soak, it perked back up. This leaf browning, etc. is concerning. I thank you all so much in advance for any advice you can give. Please pardon the quality of the image. I took it with my phone. If you all want a decent photo, I will use my normal camera.

Most sincerely and blessings to you all,
Benny
