Our 7 year old grandaughter...she was 7 years in first grade and is now 7 going into 2nd grade... said "honey" (she calls me that ..thought it was my name when she was learning to speak and identify the folks in her world) "what she should do is make a garden picture using her paints AND painting it with leaves and branches instead of a brush!" "I bet it will be pretty!"
Now that is the level at which this child should be working at a masterpiece all her own!
