Karen, I haven't had rebloom on 'Beautiful Edgings' for many years. Then last year, I had a few scapes rebloom... in December. Glare Right now I have all of one rebloom scape, out of umpteen (well over 20) fans. Shrug!

Mike, scapes on a lot of the daylilies here were unusually tall this year. I don't know whether to put that down to all of the rain we had last winter, or not. At any rate, while I didn't measure the scape heights, the blooms on some of the scapes were almost looking at me eye-to-eye, and I am 5' 2", so certainly some of the scapes exceeded 48" in height. Not every scape was that tall, but a few of them were. Ditto, I did not measure bloom size. I would guess that it was greater than or equal to 6" in all cases. (Bloom size, in my experience, is partly a function of water. We are in a prolonged drought and are on watering restrictions, so the garden, and that daylily, only gets irrigated twice a week. It is probably an uncommon occurrence when any daylily here actually attains its registered bloom size.)
Evaluating an iris seedling, hopefully for rebloom
