I had hoped to get a better picture of Calamus Sky this spring, but just didn't get it done. We're moving in a couple of weeks and may not get much bloom next year so figured I might as well post what I have. Shrug!

Tom,

Introducing an iris does seem to be the most perplexing part of the process. If you are set up to sell irises yourself, you can introduce one simply by making up a flyer with a description and price information and sending it to the AIS registrar. Selling plants holds no appeal for me, though, so I contacted a commercial grower and asked if they would be interested in introducing seedlings for me. They are currently evaluating the four registered plants, plus a few other unnamed seedlings (technically, the registration for Serene Silence hasn't been approved yet, but I reserved the name a couple of years ago and unacceptable names seem to be the primary reason registrations get rejected so I'd be really surprised if there's a problem with it).

If all goes well, I'm hopeful that Girl Crush will get introduced in 2018 with some others following a year or two later.
