Huey is hardier than most people realize. I'm out in the country here also and have 2 of them that need to be killed before winter hits. Only way to kill a Dr. Huey rose around here is a brush killer on the stems. I have learned my lesson with them so now go straight for own root roses here so if they die back to the roots I have the same rose coming back.
